It’s that time of the year again, the day when I kick my chocoholism up a notch and share mouth-watering pictures of my eating adventures with the lot of you. I’ve actually been so eagerly awaiting this day that I started celebrating a day early!
I went to a lovely little place called Cocoa Kitchen, which incorporates chocolate in all its dishes and drinks. Started off with a lemon mint drink sprinkled with cocoa nib, followed by butternut squash cocoa ravioli. And I mean cocoa ravioli. The pasta was actually made of chocolate and it was so weird and interesting and I’m 95% sure I liked it, haha.

This was followed by dessert, and I opted for a 75% chocolate fondant with vanilla ice-cream. It was delicious, though much too tiny for me to be completely satisfied. 😦

On the way out, we encountered what’s possibly the biggest chocolate shop I’ve ever seen. Sadly, it has yet to be officially opened… but how cruel do you have to be to actually have see-through shutters around it? All that chocolate just out of my reach!

Aaaaand this brings us to today. Unfortunately I’m not feeling well (I had a 5-day weekend and I seriously stuffed myself sick), so I’m just settling down with some Hot Chocolate and a bit of chocolate-centered calligraphy. 🙂

What are you doing today? How will you celebrate?
Wow! That year went very fast, Zen! I’m glad you enjoyed the chocolate goodness. I hope you’re feeling better soon and I know the hot chocolate will help 😀
It has passed by super quickly, hasn’t it? I’m feeling better now, so I might make up for it today! 😉
I wish I’d known. I had a cinnamon roll on a whim. Could’ve had chocolate.
I mean I had some Oreos, but…
Hey, you can still have some today! It’s okay, I won’t tell. 🙂
Actually, I did. I told my parents and wife and they were all for celebrating. Just got some chocolate donuts from the gas station, but you know what? Chocolate is chocolate and those were amazing.
Also, thanks for your yearly reminder that I don’t get enough chocolate, haha!
Haha, you’re welcome! And I’m glad you got around to celebrating. Chocolate doughnuts are awesome. 😀
Hi Zen! Glad you enjoyed it! 🙂
Hi Patricia! It was a lovely day! I hope you got some chocolate yourself? 🙂
WHAT. How did I miss this. Well, I suppose I had a Snickers to commemorate, but that was mostly out of hunger and not knowledge that it was International Chocolate Day. Those pictures look soooo good, though!
Hahaha. To be fair, it doesn’t get the attention it deserves (and I have it stored on my phone’s calendar!). At least you had a Snickers!
Wowza, that first part of the blog post sounded like a scene from Chocolat! Forgot to tell you that your Instagram post about chocolate day prompted me to visit my favorite yummy place, Moonstruck Chocolate Cafe, a couple of weeks ago. I was like…Zen said. We must celebrate! 🙂

Hahaha, I can just picture you saying that. And the Cafe looks lovely! I would definitely like it there. Those little mouse pops are so cute!
