Facebook keeps asking what’s on my mind.

Well, Facebook, I’m not in my best of spirits I can tell you that. There have been ups and downs, occasional bursts of fun and escape from reality, and frequent headfirst collisions with the hard reality… no cushions. Sometimes I wish I could go back a few years, when I only had to worry about grades and weekend plans.

You can say that this is a status update of sorts. Or maybe a sort of mini-journal entry. Either way, so as not to bore you with all the details of my mundane life, I’m going to write about a few select highlights. One important such highlight is that this weekend I indulged in my first chocolatey treat in weeks – a chocolate dreamcake doughnut from Krispy Kreme. I had been planning to hold out a bit longer on chocolate, but really, who can resist a KK doughnut? 😉 Plus, I do believe I earned it. I’ve stuck to my diet and exercise throughout this period and lost more than 15 pounds, which is excellent if you take into consideration that I only started three weeks ago! WordPress is the new Facebook (at least to me).

I think I’m coming to realise that WordPress feels more or less like a wordier and more interesting version of Facebook, but with less drama and more people who know their grammar. In a way, one’s blogging worth is equal to the number of comments, likes and followers they have. I think it’s safe to say that most of us feel happy it when someone comments or likes our posts, or even follows us… I know I do. Alternatively, we would probably feel sad or at least disappointed if our post went unnoticed. Just like Facebook status updates. Maybe it’s silly now, but at one point I used to take down a status update if nobody commented on it or liked it, haha.

Hi, I’m Zen, and I’m addicted to Bingo. Not just any Bingo though, no… but the new Bingo game on Facebook. I usually try to stay far away from games on Facebook, especially due to my tendency to get addicted right away. I’ve gotten hooked on Tetris, Sims Social, Bejeweled Blitz and even Mafia Wars. Every time its gets to the extent that I’ll be checking the game every few minutes… before eventually I pull the plug on the game and block it so that I don’t feel tempted to try it again.

Recently I discovered schoolFeed on Facebook, and through that I found the Bingo game. I thought I’d try it out for a bit to see what it’s all about, even though a voice in my head was screaming at me not to click the button (and you, too, should never click that button if you know what’s good for you).
